FROM THE RELATIONSHIP TO THE RESILIENT COMPANY

The proposal was to develop an observation process through my work as a teacher in Arts and Design at the Rodrigo Lara Bonilla Educational Institution for students in grades 10 and 11. This observation process analyzed the sociocultural phenomena in daily life in students: their becoming. Because of being children of reinserted or children of victims of the conflict, adolescents carry a social weight that generates a phenomenon of loneliness and resistance, a process of late resilience.
Within the research-creation proposal presented to Peripherie Art Gallery, Bern – Switzerland, the program of stimuli for artistic residence in the city of Bern is included: assistant curator, research and creation for the Peripherie Arts gallery during the period between May to July 2018. The exhibition project where the research and creation work of the artist Donald Emmanuel Ruiz Gualy, a professor at the Rodrigo Lara Bonilla institution, in Neiva, Huila, Colombia, is composed of a series of Three exhibitions where each one offers a focus on the phenomena of social coexistence in Latin American countries.

The healing processes of the populations that have been violated can lead to resilient actions thanks to the family, social, neighborhood, commune or neighborhood company, also the processes of empowerment and reconstruction of memory can be accompanied by symbolic acts of reparation through artistic processes. The latter in the child and adolescent population are very beneficial. Thus, art therapy is beneficial for solving psychological situations; for example, pets, in this case dogs, can help young people focus their potential on the relationship of respect for another living being.

During the observation it was sought to analyze the intrinsic reaction of these pets that, due to the ease of entry to the institution – due to the enclosure works that were being carried out – could enter the green areas, corridors and halls. This resilient company, provides resistance and empowerment of emotional ties as a particular phenomenon in a community that has been and is still beaten, is poeticized by the company of dogs that care, follow, accompany and protect, even going through the schemes of security of the institution, sneaking to get to be next to their family.

    Conceptualization of formal elements:
The research develops a visual proposal from the painting, although it was pertinent to incorporate three-dimensional elements assembled in wood. In this case, the design of a framework that enters both formally and conceptually and allows us to build ideas around each scene. Then, each painting has an intrinsic design of this three-dimensional element.
Collage cannot be considered as the concept of collage is associated with the direct taking of objects. In this case, it is the complete construction of an element that accompanies the scene such as pets for children. The resulting moments become spiritual and reflective.

The development of this proposal was thanks to the possibility of being in contact with the students, in a meeting with the parents, the support on the part of the directors of the Educational Institution and the municipal Secretariat of Education, the support of the embassies of Latin American countries in Bern and the Peripherie gallery.
