2016

A special year to experience and work with many techniques. A year in which I studied references such as Audrey Kawasaky, Pre-Columbian Culture and digital painting art work.

Studying Audkawa

Audkawa’s art work is a part of my visual and conceptual references for art creation. These canvases are some studies of her work of art being reinterpreted. It is important for me to study the references. Some classics that I also study and have a lot of influence from are: Berthe Morisot, Martha Stettler, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro and Paul Cézanne.

Illustration and digital painting

When I started the investigation on the reconstruction of memory, I listened to many women who were victims of the armed conflict in Colombia. As a result of this investigation I illustrated those memories through visual metaphors. This digital painting work was exhibited collectively in Sweden and Norway.

Anecdotes that were carved in wood

Design of stamps carved in wood with iconographic motifs of Colombian pre-Hispanic cultures. Being a study of shapes, lines and volumes, they are an application to decorate the upper part of chairs.
